Guy Lawson was born in Toronto. He holds degrees from the University of Western Australia and the University of Cambridge, England. He worked as an attorney on Wall Street and is admitted to practice law in the state of New York -- but had the good sense to quit the law after only one year. Since then, he has traveled the world reporting on war, crime, politics, and sports. His work has appeared in many national publications, including The New York Times, Harper's, GQ, and Rolling Stone. He is the author of The Brotherhoods: The True Story of Two Cops Who Murdered for the Mafia. He has appeared on The Today Show, CNN, MSNBC, and the BBC, and for two years hosted the Canadian literary talk show Imprint. He is currently working on a nonfiction book about Wall Street fraud. Guy lives in upstate New York with his wife and two daughters.
